 d Music Symposium is an annual gathering of the Catholic faithful\, and al
 l those of good will\, with an interest in Sacred Music\, especially Grego
 rian chant and Renaissance polyphony.<br />\nOur purpose is to promote the
  Sacred Music and the Sacred Liturgy of the Western Tradition celebrated a
 ccording to the norms established by Holy Mother Church. We believe that s
 ince “the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church 
 is directed\; at the same time it is the font from which all her power flo
 ws. (SC 10)”\, the worthy celebration of the Liturgy is the single great
 est act that the Church can perform for the glorification of God and the s
 alvation of souls.<br />\nAmong the many treasures with which the Church a
 dorns the Sacred Liturgy\, we believe that Sacred Music holds a unique pla
 ce and that the Church’s patrimony of Sacred Music\, especially Gregoria
 n Chant\, should be available in every parish.<br />\nTo this end\, we gat
 her annually for the formation\, education\, and training of sacred musici
 ans\, through workshops\, lectures\, fellowship and the celebration of Hol
 y Mass and the Divine Office.</p>\n
